Conor Sherry: Who is Hollywood’s Rising Talent Behind Snack Shack?

If you’ve seen “Snack Shack” or “The Terminal List,” you may have already seen Conor Sherry on screen.

This particular actor didn’t get that lucky hit where his first movie brought him to fame. However, he is taking baby steps to build up his name, and he seems to be doing it by the book. I’ll show you what I mean in this guide.

Conor Sherry’s Early Life

Conor Sherry was born on October 18, 2000, in San Jose, California, to Steve Sherry and Brigid Feeney, who worked as a school teacher.

Fortunately, this isn’t one of those times where we reflect back at someone’s harsh childhood; Conor was raised in a supportive family with his siblings Aubrey and Brendarn Sherry.

The latter later pursued a career as a DJ and formed half of the DJ duo “WYA?” with Nikita Skywalker. And no, this has nothing to do with George Lucas’s Star Wars.

Back on track, Conor’s mom, Brigid, was particularly supportive during his childhood. In an interview, he was asked what tattoo type he would get if he was to have one right now, and his answer was:

“There’s a tattoo I’ve always wanted and probably will get at some point. It’s in my Mom’s handwriting and it says, “Sweet Boy.” She has called me that for as long as I can remember and still does to this day. She’s not a fan of tattoos though, so… we’ll see.”

If that’s not a testament to a loving mother, I don’t know what is.

Sherry’s Education

Academically, Sherry attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California.

I don’t have solid leads on this, but whenever I hear “California,” I feel the performance and acting in the corner, so it’s safe to say that his school programs were likely his first step in discovering his passion for acting.

Following his high school graduation, Sherry decided to pursue formal training in acting by enrolling at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There, he committed himself to developing his craft through the Bachelor of Arts program in Acting.

Conor Sherry’s Career

Conor Sherry’s professional acting career officially began in 2022, though he had already gained valuable experience through several short film projects in the preceding years.

Some of his earlier, rather short works include:

These projects were admirable but quite short. His actual debut was in 2022, where he made his feature film entrance in The Devil You Know (2022). This was pretty much his first step into mainstream cinema.

It didn’t stop there. That same year, he secured a recurring role in the Prime Video series The Terminal List, where he worked alongside established star Chris Pratt in what he later described as a “profoundly formative professional experience.”

As of early 2025, The Terminal List remains Sherry’s most high-profile production, which exposed him to the operations of a major streaming series and allowed him to observe seasoned professionals at work.

Reflecting on this experience, Sherry noted how watching Pratt’s leadership on set influenced his own professional approach:

“It was really huge for me, my first time on a legit set. [Chris] was a producer and the star of it, and he led the entire set. He wasn’t going to his trailer, he’d have lunch with everyone and talk with everyone; he was so funny.”

It wasn’t over for 2022 yet, by the way. In the same year, Sherry appeared in Nickelodeon’s reboot of the beloved series Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island.” He wasn’t a lead cast there, but you can find him in season 3, episode 4 titled: The Tale of the Other Side.

These roles helped introduce him to younger audiences while connecting him to a nostalgic property with multi-generational appeal.

Sherry’s career reached a new milestone in 2024 with his first leading role in the coming-of-age comedy “Snack Shack.”

This nostalgic film, set in the summer of 1991 and produced by Oscar-nominated production company T-Street, cast Sherry as AJ, a teenager who, along with his best friend, wins an auction for their local pool’s snack shack and turns it into a successful venture.

The storyline follows the friends’ relationship as it becomes complicated when they both develop feelings for a new girl in town who works as a lifeguard.

Speaking about this pivotal role, Sherry expressed his appreciation for the character’s emotional depth:

“The role of AJ was really special because not only was it my first lead in a movie, but he goes through such a great arc. The ups, the downs, every first of a 15-year-old. I got to experience every kind of emotion and show that.”

Conor Sherry’s Net Worth

Unfortunately, we can’t provide much here. The available information does not provide specific details regarding Conor Sherry’s net worth as of 2025.

As a relatively new entrant to the entertainment industry who just started a couple of years ago, we don’t have enough stats yet.

Connor Sherry Today

As of early 2025, Conor Sherry is 24 years old and resides in Los Angeles, California, the center of the American entertainment industry.

His professional momentum appears to be building following the release of “Snack Shack,” with industry observers noting his career shows “an upward trajectory that likely won’t slow down any time soon.”

Having now experienced both supporting and leading roles across multiple mediums, he has established the foundation for a potentially decent career.

Plus, his growing social media following indicates good public recognition. It’s not “groundbreaking” yet, but it’s getting there.

Beginning with short films before progressing to network television, streaming platforms, and ultimately a leading feature film role, Conor’s career surely shows an approach that I can only describe as methodical.

His reflections on witnessing the “countless hours of work put in by the entire production crew” during “Snack Shack” and his observation that “there are a lot of people who can go unappreciated [by viewers]” reveal a maturity and collegial respect. We can only wish him the best.
